Cosmetic & Reconstructive Procedures
Facelift surgery is the most effective and longest-lasting method of facial rejuvenation. This procedure can eliminate wrinkles, tighten loose skin on the face, and restore volume to the cheek areas and give you 10-15 years of a younger appearance. A facelift addresses the middle to lower portions of the face.
Rhinoplasty, widely known as a “nose job,” reshapes the nose and can make it smaller or larger depending on the patient’s specific concerns. This procedure is also used to correct obstructive issues that make breathing difficult.
When an initial rhinoplasty surgery fails to produce the desired outcome, revision rhinoplasty can deliver more satisfactory results. It’s essential to consult with a reconstructive facial surgery specialist like Dr. Butler when considering this type of revision surgery.
Neck lift surgery is the best way to address wrinkles, lines, and loose skin on the neck. This procedure is commonly included with a facelift but can be performed alone when the neck shows visible signs of aging as early as late 30’s y.o.
Otoplasty (complicated cosmetic ear surgery) can improve the appearance of overly large or protruding ears and can be performed on children over the age of four and adults. This procedure can help children avoid being teased and developing low self-esteem and adults who want to address long-standing issues and increase their confidence.
Lip augmentation is performed to change the size or shape of lips that are thin or are contributing to the appearance of facial aging. Fat transfer, implants, or an upper lip lift can deliver individual results that meet the needs of a diverse population of patients.
A forehead lift or coronal brow lift can correct a furrowed brow and reduce the appearance of horizontal lines on the forehead. This surgery is often combined with a facelift or eyelid surgery to address concerns about the upper portion of the face.
Drooping excess eyelid skin contributes strongly to an aged, tired, or unengaged appearance. Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) can restore a youthful look to the eyes and, in severe cases, improve vision once obscured by loose eyelid skin.
The chin plays a crucial role in facial balance. When the chin is small or weak, it tends to blend in with the neck and cause men to feel less masculine, while a prominent chin in women can make them feel less feminine. Depending on the patient’s goals, there are several ways to approach chin augmentation.
Facial and Neck Liposculpture
Liposculpture of the face and neck involves using neck and face lift techniques combined with liposuction and fat grafting when necessary to provide more desirable facial contours. This procedure is often added to other facial surgeries, such as eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, or facial implant placement.
Following injury, illness, or some surgical procedures, many individuals seek reconstructive treatment to restore a more natural appearance, especially around the lips, nose, eyelids, ears, neck, and other facial areas. These procedures can help remove scars, close wounds, and correct distorted areas of skin or tissue caused by scar contraction.
Minimally Invasive Procedures
An Endotine® Lift can restore a youthful appearance around the eyes and upper face. This procedure provides results similar to eyelid surgery for a more attentive, vibrant, and younger-looking appearance. Reduce your costs and downtime by correcting a furrowed brow and droopy eyelids with this minimally invasive treatment.
Endoscopic Mid-Face Lift
This treatment addresses visible aging that affects the area between the lower eyelids and lips. Improve under-eye bags, sagging cheeks, hollows, and deep folds that develop between the nose and mouth with an endoscopic mid-face lift.
This Endotine® Lift option uses absorbable sutures lined with micro-cones that trigger new collagen growth to restore facial volume and lift sagging skin around the mouth and cheeks.
Fatty deposits on the face and neck can make you look older, while hollowed areas magnify the signs of aging. Using liposuction to remove unwanted facial fat or from other body areas is a great way to achieve more youthful contours on the face and body.
Non Surgical Rejuvenation
CoolPeel® is a revolutionary, new Helix Laser resurfacing treatment. CoolPeel® targets the top layer of skin and removes damaged tissue to reveal healthier, younger-looking skin. Reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size while improving the appearance of scars, sun damage, tone, texture, acne, melasma and pigmentation issues with little to no downtime.
Non-surgical comprehensive rejuvenation is an individualized approach to address several cosmetic concerns for individuals with early signs of aging and those who want to avoid plastic surgery. Facial fillers, laser procedures, collagen-building treatments, and more can be combined for customized facial rejuvenation without surgery.
Injectable facial fillers can treat a diverse set of skin problems, with each brand offering a little something different. Dr. Butler offers these injectables because they are effective and have almost no chance of causing an allergic reaction.
JUVÉDERM® offers a complete line of hyaluronic acid gels to effectively treat fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss with instant, natural-looking results.
Rather than hyaluronic acid, RADIESSE® is made from a biocompatible gel containing microspheres of minerals naturally found in our bones. This injectable works as a filler and promotes new collagen production.
This injectable is another hyaluronic acid filler that offers several options to treat deep creases and add volume to the face and lips.
Sculptra® Aesthetic is a newer injectable containing the alpha hydroxy acid known as poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA. This long-lasting, synthetic, biocompatible, and biodegradable product is safe and effective.
Injectable Muscle Relaxants (Neuromodulators)
While dermal fillers work great on static lines and wrinkles, they are much less effective for dynamic lines like crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines caused by muscle contractions. This is where neuromodulators work best.
BOTOX® Cosmetic was the first neuromodulator used as a cosmetic treatment and can both treat and delay the appearance of dynamic lines and wrinkles.
XEOMIN® is a newer, fast-acting neuromodulator and produces similar results as BOTOX® Cosmetic. However, there are some subtle differences, and a consultation with our experienced provider at Dr. Butler’s Santa Monica office can help determine which is right for you.
